The Invincible 3 is the queen of the "Easy Run." It maximizes muscle protection thanks to its competition-grade ZoomX foam, adapted here to handle daily miles with royal comfort.
Unlike other models that mix foams, the Invincible 3 relies on a 100% ZoomX midsole. This is Nike's lightest and most responsive foam.
It provides a unique "springy" sensation underfoot while completely absorbing road impacts to preserve your joints.
The Flyknit upper has been reworked to offer more durability and structure. It places breathability zones in strategic locations.
The hold is firm and secure, preventing the foot from moving inside the shoe—a crucial point on such a high stack height.
To counter the natural instability of a very soft foam, the Invincible 3 adopts a very wide platform at the heel and toes.
An injected heel clip, more discreet than on version 2, locks the back of the foot to guide your stride without being intrusive.
The Nike Invincible 3 generally fits True to size. The forefoot is spacious enough for toe comfort over time.
Our advice: Go with your usual running shoe size (often 1 size up from your city shoe size).
Note on lockdown: Some runners notice a slight heel slip. Using the last eyelet for lacing (the "runner's loop" knot) perfectly corrects this point.
Version 3 is sleeker and more stable. The sole is thicker (40mm vs 37mm) for even more cushioning. The heel clip is thinner and more precise, and the Flyknit upper is more breathable and modern than the thick "bootie" of the V2.
Yes, if your goal is primarily comfort. It is not designed for speed (no carbon plate), but its ZoomX cushioning will protect your legs until the 42nd kilometer, ideal for finishing fresh.
The Pegasus is a versatile shoe (daily runs and a bit of speed) with standard cushioning (React/Air Zoom). The Invincible 3 is specialized in maximum comfort (100% ZoomX)—softer and more bouncy but less dynamic for intervals.
This is not its strong point. Although ZoomX foam is very responsive, the volume and weight of the shoe make it less agile for speed sessions (intervals, threshold). For those, a Zoom Fly or a Vaporfly would be better suited.
Much more so than previous versions. Nike widened the sole and reworked the shape to avoid the "unstable" effect sometimes felt with very soft foams. It remains a neutral shoe but is very reassuring.
Excellent. The waffle rubber outsole fully covers wear zones, and ZoomX foam retains its bounce properties for a very long time. It often exceeds 800 km.
The Vomero is often a mix of foams (ZoomX + Cushlon or ReactX) for more structured comfort. The Invincible is 100% ZoomX, offering a more "trampoline" feel and even deeper cushioning.
