Road bike transmission
The road bike transmission ensures the transformation of the energy provided by the cyclist into a rotation of the rear wheel to advance the bike. The transmission system includes a crankset, two or three chain rings, a cogset, a front derailleur, a rear derailleur and a chain.
Depending on the use, you can increase the number of pinions at the back of the racing bike transmission to have a wider range of developments, which will make passes easier to cross for example.
Road bikes are equipped with flat gears and cogsets that are smaller than MTB's.
