AbsoluteBlack Narrow Wide Mono 104 BCD Oval Premium Chainrings are designed for all cranks that use 104bcd as the mounting interface. This is the most common mounting standard for Shimano and other 4 arm cranks. It is the most premium oval chainring on the market with scientifically proven performance gains.
Oval chainrings do not produce more force, they increase pedalling efficiency through better transmission of forces. This means that you won't necessarily go further by pedalling harder. But the less force you lose, the more energy you keep, allowing you to pedal harder when you need to and thus reducing your general fatigue. That's why you can ride faster, longer and further with oval chainrings.
Studies conducted by the University of Primorska, Slovenia, show significant differences between the use of AbsoluteBlack Oval chainrings and conventional round chainrings. It is proven that using an oval chainring can provide up to a 9% increase in pedal stroke efficiency, up to 7% less oxygen consumption, 15% less breathing and up to a 10% decrease in heart rate.

- Chainline : 30T - 48 mm ; 32T - 48.5 mm ; 34 & 36T - 50 mm
- Mounting holes 4 x 104mm BCD (for 32D ring, screws must be a minimum of 6mm long)
- Designed in the UK. Made in Poland (EU).
- Ovality : Optimised for each size separately. Range: 10.2-14.4% and 110.5-116.3° after TDC (top dead centre) Patent Pending
- The 32T chainring is fitted with 2mm spacers and threaded holes (M8x0.75) to fit this size on the chainring.
- 30T chainring has build-in 2.5mm spacers and threaded holes (M8 / M5) to accommodate this size on spider. It also comes with bolts and spacers in the package: 2x M8 aluminium bolts T30 torx, 2x M5 steel bolts T25 torx and 2x eccentric spacers. This is a patent pending solution.
- 30T oval chainring will not fit some power meters, like SRAM Quarq Dzero 104 BCD. If you are unsure whether it will fit your power meter, please contact our customer service team.
- If you wish to check the frame clearance with the new oval platter, the measurement of the largest dimension of the oval (from tip to tip of the tooth) is given below: 32T : 143 mm; 34T : 151 mm; 36T : 159 mm
