DESCRIPTION:

Effective protection
The Alp Trainer 2 is an evolutionary mid-high hiking boot with a durable, high-quality suede and stretch upper and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining that provides effective hiking protection in a variety of terrain and weather conditions. It has a generous rubber rock guard on the front for protection from rocks and scree.

Adjustable comfort
Designed for comfort from the moment you step in, it offers a snug fit and good support. The patented 3F System, with a steel cable, ensures firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the Flex Collar increases rearward range of motion and ankle comfort on descents. In addition, the customizable SALEWA® Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) insole features interchangeable overlays that allow you to further refine the volume. Mountaineering laces allow you to fine-tune right down to the toe for precision on technical terrain.

Better grip and traction
Underfoot, the improved Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole, developed exclusively by SALEWA®, offers better performance and control on a wide range of mountainous terrain and performs well in wet and muddy conditions thanks to its dedicated climbing, traction and braking zones and solid lugs.

Vibram is a manufacturer of high-end soles for hiking, climbing and trail shoe brands. These soles are made of high performance rubber materials to provide great resistance, better traction and outstanding grip on difficult mountain terrain and in all weather conditions.

For hiking, the design can be either narrow or wide in order to bring more precision or more stability to your every step. Note that the height of the crampon also plays an important role in mountain climbing. The higher the cleat, the more you will gain in clearance and ease in unstable rocky sections..
