Designed for elite performance, the TYR Hurricane® Cat 5 wetsuit for men uses a multitude of advanced features to deliver optimal stability, maximized speed and energy efficiency in the water.
The world's highest-performance wetsuit construction for triathlon: Yamamoto neoprene. Specifically used for triathletes who are elite-level swimmers, Yamamoto is used to dramatically reduce restrictions on the body, creating the sensation of a second skin. Thanks to a combination of comfort and unfettered mobility, Yamamoto optimizes both speed and control in the water.
For TYR Sport, having the best suit starts with having the best build. As a result, every TYR Hurricane® Cat 5 is built with 44-cell Yamamoto neoprene. What's more, the Super Composite Skin (SCS) nano-coating process is used alongside manufacturing to enhance comfort and freedom of movement. Featuring both hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties, SCS repels water, provides high heat retention to reduce body fatigue, and offers incredible durability to prevent abrasion and increase product life. Rather than a standard seam construction, each Cat 5 also uses fast wrap-around panels to hug and hold you comfortably.
Then, 360-degree elevation panels are used to establish the correct positioning of the body in relation to the water surface. When working in conjunction with adjusted wrists, the result is maximized power strokes without any water pick-up.
Each HCAFM6A wetsuit also features quick-release ankle cuffs, an innovative antimicrobial lining and a range of advanced movement zones.
All TYR Hurricane® suits are WTC (Ironman) / USAT legal.
