First developed in 2012 during a GMHM expedition to make the first alpine-style ascent of the west face of Kamet (7,756 m) in Pakistan, it has since evolved without ever losing its core identity: to be an essential piece of modern mountaineering gear.
Robust from the very beginning, it has successfully reinvented itself with each new version—first by becoming lighter, and now by adopting the new PFAS*-free GORE-TEX ePE membrane—all while maintaining the same waterproof-breathable performance. After 11 years in the lineup, this jacket has been updated with a redesign tailored for today’s mountaineering.
As durable as ever thanks to its 100% recycled polyamide outer fabric, the KAMET GORE-TEX retains its legendary versatility. Its redesigned, helmet-compatible hood with precise adjustments and its pre-shaped sleeves optimize movement on the rock face. Designed to tackle varied conditions and support all your alpine activities, it remains true to what makes Millet great: reliability and technical excellence.

  • GORE-TEX ePE: The new GORE-TEX ePE membrane is engineered into extremely lightweight and thin composites that are mechanically robust, delivering long-lasting performance. Combining expanded polyethylene (ePE) and polyurethane (PU), the result is a membrane that is durably waterproof, windproof, and breathable, with a low membrane weight that results in a smaller carbon footprint.
