Mountaineering tradition meets innovation and performance in the Stellar Nubuck GTX. The highest-quality nubuck upper is combined with excellent insulation against the elements guaranteed by the Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane and a boot construction offering an unrivalled wraparound, protective fit with a protective edge and Lycra collar. Protection is further ensured by the high-performance rubber-reinforced toe cap and the Kayland Ankle Lock system, which supports your ankle while guaranteeing natural movement. The outstanding feature of the Stellar range is its sole: the foot rests directly on the flexible EVA midsole, which offers enhanced cushioning during foot strike and impact on uneven terrain. The Vibram® Stellar sole has been designed exclusively for Kayland. The internal construction features a honeycomb design that lightens the structure, improves thermal insulation and offers excellent shock absorption. The dual-density PU foam-covered midsole sits atop the PU insole, which is also perforated to reduce weight and increase torsional stability. The sole contains an integrated welt to accommodate semi-automatic crampons.

Vibram sole

Vibram is a manufacturer of high-end soles for hiking, climbing and trail shoe brands. These soles are made of high performance rubber materials to provide great resistance, better traction and outstanding grip on difficult mountain terrain and in all weather conditions.

For hiking, the design can be either narrow or wide in order to bring more precision or more stability to your every step. Note that the height of the crampon also plays an important role in mountain climbing. The higher the cleat, the more you will gain in clearance and ease in unstable rocky sections..

Nubuck Leather

It is a treatment on the grain side of the leather (upper part of the leather), giving it a smoother and more resistant aspect for the practice of hiking in the mountains.
