The 6OX Ergowave® active saddle has been around for some time, but not in this version: made in Germany. The special feature of the 6OX Infinergy® Ergowave® active "Made in Germany" is the saddle foam, which is no longer made of conventional PU foam, but of the BASF Infinergy® material familiar from running shoes. This material is extremely robust and, especially in the field, takes comfort to a whole new level thanks to a faster return. The coating is not applied to the entire surface of the saddle as on conventional saddles. There are simply "taps" in important places. These tapes are automatically bonded to the Infinergy® foam without glue. The manufacturing technology was already successfully developed a few years ago by Oechsler in Ansbach, a major automotive supplier, for a major sporting goods manufacturer. SQlab and Oechsler then jointly optimized this process for saddles.
The new Ergowave® shape and active system improve the saddle in many details, making it unbeatable on the e-bike in terms of relief, comfort and technology. In particular, the high level of support at the rear has been increased.
The 6OX is the ideal saddle for long, steep climbs on the E-MTB, and at the same time ensures optimum unloading even on bikes without motors. As a result, the rider no longer needs to adopt protective positions that require a great deal of effort, and all the energy is available for propulsion.
It's been a secret for a long time now: a saddle should fit like a pair of shoes! Indeed, if a saddle is too narrow, it exerts pressure exactly where it shouldn't. Back in 2002, the first saddle manufacturer, SQlab, introduced a system for measuring the distance between the seat bones and calculating the optimum saddle width. Today, all SQlab saddle models are available in four different widths. This ensures that the seat bones rest on the entire surface of the saddle.
