How to adjust a front derailleur?
There is nothing worse than a noisy front derailleur. Adjust your front derailleur in few steps for a smooth shifting.Typical tools: 5mm Hex Wrench / Screwdriver / Ruler.
Shift chain to innermost front chainring and innermost rear sprocket. Relax the inner cable: turn barrel adjuster clockwise. If barrel adjuster is already fully turned, loosen inner wire pinch bolt and then tighten bolt.
Inspect parallel alignment of front derailleur. The front derailleur should be parallel to the chain.
Inspect height alignment of front derailleur. The gap between the teeth of the outer chainring and lower edge of the outer cage plate should be between 1 and 3mm.
