Description

Modular technical mountaineering ice axe (Type 1), designed for highly technical ascents on snow and ice.

The Phoenix offers extreme technical performance in a sleek, ultralight design. Designed to provide the technical capabilities and ergonomics of an ice climbing ice axe, it ensures great precision on ice while remaining exceptionally light and versatile. It can be used on the most demanding alpine routes, while remaining suitable for classic mountaineering.

Its modular design allows for three configurations:

Equipped Mode with two grip positions: Tech Pommel in the lower position and the upper Pinky Rest installed.
Integral Mode with a sliding lower support wedge: ideal for classic mountaineering, with smooth transitions between using the ice axe as a walking stick and as a traction tool.
Minimal Mode: Tech Pommel and Pinky Rest removed, resulting in a lightweight alpine ice axe suited for classic climbing.

The one-piece hydroformed aluminum shaft provides strength and responsiveness. The Tech Pommel ensures a secure grip and allows for multiple grip positions. Fully modular, the Phoenix covers a wide range of activities, from classic mountaineering to technical and demanding routes on snow and ice.
