X-Dream: the perfect name for the gear that makes the dream of having two ice axes in one a reality, with all the ideal features for ice climbing, mixed climbing, technical mountaineering, and dry-tooling. Versatility is guaranteed by the four interchangeable Type 2 (CE) blades (Omni included as standard; Ice, Hard Mixed, and Total Dry 2.0 sold separately) and, above all, by the innovative variable-angle handle: a masterpiece of ergonomics that ensures the best grip for hands of all sizes and with any type of gloves. A single hex-head screw allows you to quickly adjust the angle of the handle and blade relative to the vertical, switching the X-Dream from “ice” mode to “dry” mode and vice versa. The “ice” mode, with angles of 48° and 100°, respectively, ensures a more natural strike and extraordinary penetration, while the “dry” configuration, with angles of 60° and 150° (a more closed geometry), guarantees greater downward traction, thereby enabling the most complex anchors and ensuring exceptional grip comfort during suspensions. The innovative X-Finger Evo modular insert allows for extreme customization of the grip around the index finger, both in terms of the support’s dimensions (neutral, small, large) and its position (micrometric adjustment). The Omni blade stands out for its versatility, with a geometry and teeth that guarantee excellent performance on both ice and rock. The Ice, optimized for ice, ensures an extremely precise and effective strike. The Hard Mixte, designed for mixed climbing, is made of Armox Advance ballistic steel with a particularly aggressive design. The Total Dry 2.0, the ultimate in dry-tooling and competition, ensures extreme hardness and durability thanks to its Armox Advance ballistic steel construction and consistent 4 mm thickness.
