Description

A technical version of the Corsa with a uniquely curved shaft and reinforced tip and pick in Alleima NanoflexTM steel.

The Corsa Nanotech ice axe is the best-performing ice axe on the market for mountaineering. Its ultralight aluminum construction combines a tip and pick reinforced with Alleima Nanoflex™ steel for optimum grip on hard snow and ice. The steel components significantly improve performance at these critical points without significantly weighing down the ice axe. The uniquely curved shaft offers increased clearance without impeding walking or penetration. The handle is machined for optimum grip and a small slot in the head allows easy integration with the Corsa hand strap (sold separately). Not suitable for use on vertical ice, mixed terrain or for cutting deep ice.

Alleima Nanoflex™ is an innovative steel alloy, stronger and harder than conventional steel, enabling a significant reduction in the amount of metal used and therefore weight savings while retaining optimum strength.
