Description

Designed for classic mountaineering, the Summit Evo ice ax is the essential tool for all types of alpine outings. Lightweight, its hydro-shaped tube offers very good grip comfort under the head of the ice ax. The technical design of the contour of the handle provides the clearance necessary for use in steep, icy terrain. The forged and well balanced head provides very good anchoring qualities. The grip of the handle makes it a precise and efficient ice ax.

Details:

Lightness : light ice ax, but which retains weight in the head for good anchoring power.
Hydro-shaped handle for a good grip at the level of the curve and a technical design:
- the handle is curved in its upper part which offers a good clearance distance when climbing,
- the lower part is straighter and guarantees effective penetration into the snow.
Hot forged steel head and blade , ensuring solid anchors:
- thin blade (3 mm), robust and toothed at the end, ensuring good anchoring quality in hard snow and ice,
- thicker blade in the center to promote grip in soft snow.
- teeth in the upper part of the blade reinforcing the holding of the ice ax when using the ice ax-ramp,
- robust stainless steel tip for very good penetration in hard snow and when using an ice ax.
High resistance and practical aspects:
- very resistant steel purlin offering a comfortable support surface and with an edge design allowing efficient trimming of steps,
- inclined purlin to correctly guide the ice ax in the snow (use as an ice ax),
- head and points equipped with holes for the passage of a carabiner or a strap,
- high quality aluminum handle (7075 aluminum used in aeronautics), with anodized finish for excellent protection.
Ice ax compatible with the LINKIN strap.
