Zipp 303 Firecrest® tubeless wheels for disc brakes are designed for the real world... a world where conditions and roads are imperfect and the endgame is simple.
Efficiency = speed. They're faster, lighter and perform better on any terrain, whether it's good or bad roads or paths. In keeping with Zipp's commitment to dominating the early-season Classics, the new 303 Firecrest wheels have been redesigned to meet the demands of modern road bikes.
When it comes to going fast on a bike, efficiency is synonymous with speed, thanks to the reduction of these elements: wind resistance, rolling resistance, rider fatigue and weight.

The 303 Firecrest tubeless for disc brakes was designed using direct measurements in real-life conditions (and not primarily in wind tunnels or with computer simulations). The results were impressive.
The rim is slightly more domed than on the previous version, with an external width of 32mm, an internal width of 25mm and a rim height of 40mm.
The profile offers low drag and a better transition between rim and tire, which improves aerodynamic performance on the road. The width of the rim also reduces tire deformation, which lowers rolling resistance.
Thanks to the combination of a wider tire, greater internal volume and lower pressure, rider fatigue can be reduced by attenuating road imperfections: it's the tire and wheel that absorb vibrations, not the rider.
