Zipp 303 Firecrest® Tubeless Disc Brake Wheels are designed for the real world... a world where conditions and roads are imperfect and the endgame is simple.
Efficiency = speed. They're faster, lighter, and perform better on all terrains, whether they're good or bad roads or trails. In keeping with Zipp's commitment to dominate the early season Classics, the new 303 Firecrest wheels have been redesigned to meet the demands of modern road bikes.
When it comes to going fast on a bike, efficiency means speed by reducing these elements: wind resistance, rolling resistance, rider fatigue and weight.

The 303 Firecrest tubeless disc brake wheel was designed using direct real world measurements (not primarily wind tunnel or computer simulations). The results were impressive.
The rim has a slightly more curved shape than the previous version, with an outer width of 32mm, an inner width of 25mm and a rim height of 40mm.
The profile offers low drag and a better transition between rim and tire, which improves aerodynamic performance on the road. The rim width also reduces tire deformation, which lowers rolling resistance.
With the combination of a wider tire, greater interior volume and lower pressure, rider fatigue can be reduced by attenuating road imperfections: the tire and wheel absorb vibrations, not the rider.

At the heart of the 303 Firecrest Tubeless Disc Brake is the ZR1 DB, a new versatile and durable hub designed in Germany.
For faster response, this hub features 66 engagement points, 303 Firecrest Tubeless Disc Brake wheels are for the enthusiast rider who wants the latest technology.
