Our Shifty is a small and extremely efficient adjustment part for your Sram 1x11 or 1x12 derailleur.
Especially in bad weather conditions with water, mud and dirt, it is striking that Sram 1x11 and 1x12 derailleurs lose a lot of shifting precision, because the original shifty roller rotates without bearings with its plastic body on a steel axle.
The friction between these two parts increases considerably when there is a lot of dirt.
This is particularly noticeable in "heavy" gears, where the tensile stress decreases and no longer provides enough grip to drive the idler.
Instead of rotating with the pulley, the control cable slides over the idler with increased friction and then causes "ghost shifting" or inaccurate gear changes.
The Shifty is made of anodized 6061-T6 aluminum and is mounted on a stainless steel ball bearing that is sealed on both sides, allowing for ultra-light shifting even in mud.
