DESCRIPTION:

The Squadra Stretch shell provides wind protection when you're out on a cool day or tackling a long descent. Its stretch panels give it a snug fit and eliminate fabrics that might flap in the wind. It's a modern version of the windproof shell jacket, the kind you keep in your pocket for long runs or slip on for the first hour until the temperature warms up. This jacket used to be very simple: it was a nylon shell that lacked elasticity and therefore had to be cut to fit all morphologies, both on and off the bike. Castelli added panels on the sides and sleeves in a high-stretch, tight-knit fabric, giving it a modern, close-fitting cut for aerodynamic gains on all terrains. It also retains more warmth than a jacket that floats in the wind, and remains very compact so that it can be stored in a minimum of space in a jersey pocket. Its stretch panels have a water-repellent treatment that protects against light fog, but beware: this is not a real rain jacket!
