Embodying the right balance of protection and breathability, the Assos Trail Spring Fall Hooded Jacket is ideal for off-road cycling in cool and variable weather.

It is well known that the front half of the body, shoulders and head are particularly exposed to the elements, and it is with these parts of your body in mind that we have used a brand new super soft and supple fabric, the RX TECH Melange. This fabric, mixed with the greatest care, is brushed on the inside to provide an additional insulating barrier, particularly appreciated on long descents from high altitudes conducive to drafts.

The high collar at the wetsuit-style hood acts like an integrated neck warmer once the zipper is pulled up to the top. It's also important to note that the hood is not compatible with wearing a helmet, and for good reason. The engineers at Assos preferred to design it so that your head stays warm before and after your run, knowing that during the latter, the neckband is enough to provide you with the appropriate level of warmth.

The back yoke of the jacket is made from the same Triangle Circular Mesh material used in Trail jerseys and whose reputation is well established. This is a lightweight, flexible material that lets the skin breathe properly and wicks moisture away from the layers worn underneath.

For the sleeves, the jacket uses rugged RX fabric, lightly brushed on the inside for additional insulation, while the elbows are covered in the abrasion resistant dyneRope fabric. Designed with the trailFit fit, the jacket was created and tailored for mountain biking, but adapts in a snap to more relaxed runs. The double-slider zipper allows you to open the jacket to obtain a cape effect during your runs to the top, or to provide ventilation in a more classic way by opening it at the top. A hidden pocket inside the jacket allows small items to be safely transported with a flap.

RX : renowned two-way stretch run-proof brushed fabric designed to wick away moisture and provide light insulation.
Triangle Fabric : Interwoven circular mesh fabric stretches in one direction for better vertical stability. Ultra soft fabric with UPF 35 sun protection and high print quality.
dyneRope : High density ripstop mesh fabric. Fifteen times more resistant than steel, this fiber is mixed with a black polyethylene and is judiciously placed to protect the areas most exposed to possible abrasions.
Internal Access Pocket: Concealed pocket with flap to securely carry your cash, ID, lift pass, or other small items.
Double-slider zipper: closure that allows the jacket to be opened from the bottom to let the skin breathe more and to adapt the garment to the weather conditions.
trailFit : cut that follows the body's natural movements, on or off the saddle. Form-fitting, but never constricting, this comfortable and versatile fit is ideal for many types of off-road races, whether they last an hour or all day.
