Designed with shock absorption and protection in mind, the 4th generation Pro Racing Socks Trail socks take Compressport technologies to the next level to accompany you on all your off-road adventures. A specific weave around the forefoot and lower leg is sturdy yet ventilated, quickly wicking away moisture to prevent irritation. The thicker fabric on the instep extends higher than on Compressport running models for added protection, and a specific mesh around the ankle provides reassuring stability on rocky terrain. An all-new, wider "toe reinforcement" toe box provides a more ergonomic fit and better proprioception, allowing the toes to intuitively grip and balance on uneven ground. Durable terry cloth padding covers all toes to cushion impacts during fast, hard descents. Enhanced 360° arch support stimulates blood flow and prevents the fabric from twisting and folding, preventing blisters and irritation over long distances. Signature dot technologies provide strategic protection from the elements in areas known to be problematic for trail runners. Both malleoli are covered with large sun-shaped dots to prevent and avoid bruising on the bottom of the foot. Two lateral rows of 3D.Dots cover the fibular muscles, stimulating sensory receptors to improve proprioception and ankle stability. A wide pattern of 3D.Dots runs up the Achilles tendon for added cushioning and support, surrounding a line of Flat.dots for ventilation. A denser weave underfoot further reduces vibration, with 3D.Dots cushioning impact and giving the foot a solid grip in the shoe. These dots also help increase venous return and delay fatigue so you feel fresh longer. Taller than the Run Sock, the trail version offers increased protection for the lower leg and ankles, with more durable fabrics to withstand the rigors of the outdoors. An ergonomic tab at the back adds a touch of comfort, and to make sure you don't mix up your socks, the discipline is discreetly embroidered on the inside.
