Trail running is not comparable to road running. Feet must constantly contract, compensate and adapt to changing terrain, so shoes must be chosen with care. Designed with shock absorption and protection in mind, the 4th generation of Pro Racing Socks Trail takes Compressport's technologies to the next level to accompany you on all your off-road adventures. The special trail weave around the forefoot and lower leg is both robust and ventilated. It allows moisture to be wicked away quickly to prevent chafing. For added protection, the thicker fabric on the instep is higher than on our racing models. A dedicated weave around the ankle provides reassuring stability on rocky terrain. An all-new, wider toe zone offers a more ergonomic fit and better proprioception, allowing the toes to grip and balance intuitively on uneven ground. Durable terry cloth padding covers all toes to cushion impacts during fast, tumultuous descents. Enhanced 360-degree arch support stimulates blood flow and prevents the fabric from twisting and bending, helping to combat blisters and chafing over the miles. Our signature stitch technologies provide strategic protection from the elements in areas known to be problematic for trail runners. Both malleoli are covered with large sun-like dots to prevent bruising from flying feet. Two lateral rows of 3D Dots cover the fibular muscles, stimulating sensory receptors to improve proprioception and ankle stability. A large pattern of 3D.dots runs up the Achilles tendon for extra cushioning and support, all around a line of Flat.dots for ventilation. A denser weave under the foot further reduces vibration, with 3D.dots cushioning impact and enhancing the foot's grip in the shoe. These dots also help increase venous return and delay fatigue so you feel fresh longer. Higher up than the Run Sock, the trail version offers increased protection for the lower leg and ankles, with more durable fabrics to withstand the trials of nature. At the back, an ergonomic tongue adds a touch of comfort and, to ensure you don't pick the wrong sock by mistake, your discipline is discreetly embroidered on the inside. Simply put: this high-performance trail sock is as tough and durable as you are.
