- Cleaning Gore-Tex Shoes | Gently wipe away any dirt with a soft cloth and lukewarm water, without using detergent. If you want to remove dirt from the inside of your GORE-TEX shoe, you can use lukewarm water and a small amount of liquid detergent, or a detergent specifically designed for technical fabrics.
