How to improve a product that is already close to excellence? The RENEGADE GTX LO hiking shoe is a difficult, but not impossible, task. This low variant of the timeless classic does not do things by halves: it includes a grippy sole and robust nubuck leather with a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane. Its cushioning has also been optimized, making the model ideal for everyday use and low difficulty hiking.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

  • VIBRAM® EVO TRAC® CLOSE TO THE GROUND. The RENEGADE GTX LO Ws is equipped with a Vibram® sole. For many years, this Italian manufacturer has been one of the market leaders in high-quality soles. The self-cleaning VIBRAM® EVO TRAC® sole features a versatile profile in a proven rubber compound. The unique forefoot and heel design makes it easy to get on and off the ground for optimal comfort.
  • GORE-TEX: Guaranteed protection from the elements, even in heavy rain and snow. The RENEGADE GTX LO Ws is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. This innovative technology makes the shoes waterproof and breathable.
  • DOUBLE INJECTION. the sole of the RENEGADE GTX LO Ws is attached to the upper by a sophisticated injection molding process to ensure good cushioning and high comfort. The upper part of the shoe is placed in a special mold and several layers of polyurethane foam are injected into the mold so that the sole becomes one with the upper.
  • SUPPORT FRAME: A COMFORTABLE STRUCTURE. The midsole of the RENEGADE GTX LO Ws holds the foot in place with its LOWA MONOWRAP® structure for optimal comfort. This three-dimensional midsole design was developed by LOWA in 1995: the structure surrounds the foot and supports it on uneven terrain. For shoes with a SUPPORT FRAME, the entire sole is slightly raised.
  • LOWA DYNAPU®: CUSHIONING PROPERTIES FOR A LIGHT RIDE. The midsole has a strong influence on the way the foot moves and the cushioning of the shoe. The midsole of the RENEGADE GTX LO Ws is made of a unique synthetic material: LOWA DynaPU®. Its special feature: even when compressed a thousand times, it retains its full resilience. This means that shoes made of this material have very good cushioning properties, even after many kilometers.

Vibram sole

Vibram is a manufacturer of high-end soles for hiking, climbing and trail shoe brands. These soles are made of high performance rubber materials to provide great resistance, better traction and outstanding grip on difficult mountain terrain and in all weather conditions.

For hiking, the design can be either narrow or wide in order to bring more precision or more stability to your every step. Note that the height of the crampon also plays an important role in mountain climbing. The higher the cleat, the more you will gain in clearance and ease in unstable rocky sections..

Nubuck Leather

It is a treatment on the grain side of the leather (upper part of the leather), giving it a smoother and more resistant aspect for the practice of hiking in the mountains.
