Can't resist the call of the great outdoors? Choose the LOWA® EXPLORER II GTX MID Ws. Specially adapted to the anatomy of women's feet, this trekking shoe is extremely reliable. It features a cushioning midsole made of LOWA DynaPU®+, a VIBRAM® outsole, and a GORE-TEX membrane to handle wind and weather. And with its modern embossing, this leather-crusted shoe boasts an especially fashionable look.

TECHNICAL DATA

  • VIBRAM® ROCK TRAC® EVO CLOSE TO THE GROUND: The LOWA® EXPLORER II GTX MID Ws is equipped with a Vibram® sole. For many years, this Italian manufacturer has been one of the market leaders in high-quality soles. The VIBRAM® ROCK TRAC® EVO outsole shows its strengths in a variety of terrains: it not only provides good grip, but also guarantees optimum comfort with a Vibram® Megagrip rubber compound and a triangular profile.
  • OPTIMAL WEATHER PROTECTION: Guaranteed protection from the elements, even in heavy rain or snow: the LOWA® EXPLORER II GTX MID Ws is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. This innovative technology makes the shoes waterproof and breathable.
  • INTERMEDIATE SOLE: 100% Polyurethane (PU). Polyurethane (PU) is a flexible synthetic material with excellent cushioning properties. Thus, insoles containing PU are light, functional and flexible.
  • INNER SOLE: Approx. 10% Mesh fabric: Mesh fabric consists of a multitude of fine meshes, usually made of polyester or nylon, and is so called because it forms a net from different threads that are linked together. The manufacturing technique of this airy textile made of synthetic fibers provides excellent air permeability and regulates the humidity inside the shoe. In addition, it does not wrinkle and therefore requires little maintenance.
    Approx. 90% Polyurethane (PU): Generally used in the manufacture of midsoles, polyurethane (PU) is a flexible synthetic material with excellent cushioning properties. Thus, soles containing PU are light, functional and flexible.
  • OUTSIDE MATERIAL: Approx. 80% Suede leather. Suede leather is used on the flesh side and is distinguished by its softer fibrous structure which gives it its velvety effect and fluffy feel. Its marked texture makes it a particularly resistant and porous leather. Depending on the style desired, suede leather can be left raw or oiled or waxed.
    Approx. 20% Textiles. Specially selected for their intended use, our textiles of natural or synthetic origin allow for optimal regulation of heat and humidity inside the shoe. Their supple structure is a guarantee of the excellent comfort of our products.
  • RESPECTING THE FEMALE PLANET ANATOMY: To ensure an optimal fit, the lasts used to design LOWA® EXPLORER II GTX MID Ws shoes are specially adapted to the female anatomy. The shape of a shoe is primarily intended to ensure an optimal fit. Since women's feet have a smaller volume than men's, the instep height and the circumference of the footbed must be adjusted. LOWA DynaPU®+ has an excellent return force, which allows it to retain its elastic properties for a long time.
  • RIGIDITY OF THE SHOE: The shoe is flexible and follows the foot in its natural course.

Vibram is a manufacturer of high-end soles for hiking, climbing and trail shoe brands. These soles are made of high performance rubber materials to provide great resistance, better traction and outstanding grip on difficult mountain terrain and in all weather conditions.

For hiking, the design can be either narrow or wide in order to bring more precision or more stability to your every step. Note that the height of the crampon also plays an important role in mountain climbing. The higher the cleat, the more you will gain in clearance and ease in unstable rocky sections..
