What to do if you are in between bike sizes?
If you are on the edge of two different bike sizes, don't worry, you'll probably be ok on either size (rather than thinking that one size will be awful and the other will fit). Indeed, bikes are adjustable: the seatpost can slide up and down, the saddle can move backwards and forwards and you can even switch out parts like the stem for different sized ones to help the bike fit better.
Finding out whether or not you should pick a bigger or a smaller frame is sometimes as simple as personal preference, but there are a few simple ways to work out which might suit best:
- If you’re flexible, you might prefer a shorter head tube, so the smaller size might work out better for you. You can use a longer stem to make the reach more comfortable.
- On a bigger bike, the reach to the handlebars will be longer. This means that if you have proportionally longer arms, you might be more comfortable on a bigger frame.

The Commencal FRS is a sleek bike with a timeless design. It is capable of setting fast lap times thanks to its dynamism. And to put a smile on the face of riders who are more attracted to freeride and committed riding.
In terms of kinematics, there are two distinct anchoring positions for the rocker, which can be easily modified in order to : To be able to use spring or air shocks independently without having to compromise. To be able to choose between an operation focused on grip (sensitive) or on dynamism (responsive). The 2 curves of the kinematics are linear, for a better touch of ground (the contact tire / ground is more frank) and more comfort in the travel. It is thus possible from now on to roll with a lower SAG, without that being uncomfortable.
Concerning the finishes: The casing passages are made closer to the main pivot point to reduce their displacement and wear. New inserts in the steering bushing allow a perfect fit of the joints. The double density injected base guard is completely revised. The frame is made of polypropylene for an excellent support on the base. The FRS is equipped with a down tube protection. No more worries with stone throwing or when loading in the back of a pick up.
