What to do if you are in between bike sizes?
If you are on the edge of two different bike sizes, don't worry, you'll probably be ok on either size (rather than thinking that one size will be awful and the other will fit). Indeed, bikes are adjustable: the seatpost can slide up and down, the saddle can move backwards and forwards and you can even switch out parts like the stem for different sized ones to help the bike fit better.
Finding out whether or not you should pick a bigger or a smaller frame is sometimes as simple as personal preference, but there are a few simple ways to work out which might suit best:
- If you’re flexible, you might prefer a shorter head tube, so the smaller size might work out better for you. You can use a longer stem to make the reach more comfortable.
- On a bigger bike, the reach to the handlebars will be longer. This means that if you have proportionally longer arms, you might be more comfortable on a bigger frame.

We've taken everything we've learned over the past few years, building high quality carbon all-suspension bikes, and distilled it down to the bare minimum (we're talking about weight, of course!) to create the Blur frame! This streamlined frame combined with the efficiency of the Superlight™ suspension form a package dedicated to turning every effort into pure performance, dedicated to shine in competition.
But be warned, the Blur isn't limited to the number of laps of an XCO loop, it will be able to go much further. Two bottle cage slots in the front triangle should provide for the most vital needs on the longest rides. The high quality finish and advanced carbon construction will ensure that you can go the distance without ever worrying about being left behind on a Cape Epic or Breck Epic. The carbon frame, while ultra light, is built to go the distance, still covered by the legendary lifetime warranty and Santa Cruz Rider Support.
We can't guarantee that the Blur will necessarily win, but being the lightest all-mountain bike we've ever designed (around 10kg when fully loaded, 289g lighter than the previous version of the Blur) it can make the difference between taking you to victory... or just getting you over the line.
