The Fox 34 Float is the fork that spares no effort. More flexible, lighter, easier to adjust and better performing than ever, the 34 is an ultra-versatile trail fork in a class of its own.
Two major improvements for this Fox 34 Float 2023:
IMPROVED LOWER LEGS CHANNELS
As a fork compresses, the volume of air in the lower legs decreases, increasing air pressure. The more the fork compresses, the greater the pressure. This effect can have the unintended consequence of preventing full travel. Our lower leg channels solve this problem by significantly increasing the volume of air in the lower legs, thus reducing the amount of unintended additional pressure.
Another benefit of these channels is that the bath oil from the lower legs circulates to the upper parts of the lower legs, continuously lubricating the foam rings and bushes as the fork compresses and extends along its path.
NEW LOWER LEG ARM
Stiffness relative to weight is the ultimate measure for bike design. Engineers spend countless hours examining every gram of material to optimize this critical ratio. The all-new 34 does everything it can to save every last gram, while ensuring that it doesn't compromise the stiffness or strength demanded by the modern trail.
Modern frame designs and geometric trends demand modern suspension design solutions. The hoop design is designed to fit perfectly with modern trail bikes. Head tube profiles are getting bigger and fork offsets shorter. Our new hoop shape takes account of this need, moving forward to provide ample head tube clearance at full compression.
State-of-the-art
computer modeling techniques have enabled us to create an organic lower-leg shape that optimizes stiffness with an absolute minimum of material.

34 Step-Cast Chassis:
The special shape of the lower tee has more than just an aesthetic effect. The narrow position of the 34 Step-Cast (SC) frame saves weight, and the stepped design leaves room for the brake spokes and rotor. The 34 SC frame, equipped with 34 mm top tubes, features a large bushing overlap for quality steering; the hollowed-out lower arms save even more weight.
Float shock absorber:
The FLOAT pneumatic shock absorber developed for the 32, 34 and 40 forks is lighter and reduces the force required for release
.
It offers excellent sensitivity over small bumps, whatever the rider and whatever the pressure setting.
Similar to our FLOAT shock absorbers, the new FLOAT system features self-balancing negative and positive chambers. This provides the right pressure for every rider. The progressiveness of the damping curve is adjustable by means of air volume spacers, so mountain bikers can fine-tune the air shock's behavior.
Fit4 cartridge:
The fourth generation of our patented FIT4 (FOX Isolated Technology) sealed cartridge system allows two instantaneous positions for compression damping (open, firm) to adapt to different trail conditions. Factory Series forks also feature 22 clicks of low-speed compression adjustment in open mode, allowing mountain bikers to fine-tune damping with great precision
