Buying guide

Whether you’re racing against the wind or chasing storms—the StormChaser ACE is a lightweight road helmet for all your fast rides.

This road bike helmet, tested by professional cyclists in road and cyclocross races, has received a welcome update: The redesigned lower edge protection is fully wraparound and, with its new visual appeal, highlights the value of this exceptionally lightweight bike helmet. The lower rim also protects the shock-absorbing inner material.
Its design remains as aerodynamic and angular as ever. Precisely shaped air inlets and outlets ensure optimal ventilation for the head.
Thanks to the new Zoom Pro fine-tuning and height-adjustable system, the helmet fits precisely for maximum comfort. Revised strap anchor points prevent annoying noises like slight rattling, even during fast rides—with the StormChaser ACE, ride out the storms!

TECHNOLOGIES of the Abus StormChaser ACE Helmet:

Lower-edge protection: The polycarbonate (PC) outer shell covers the lower edge of the helmet and protects against scratches, impacts, and wear and tear
Ponytail-friendly: Thanks to the height-adjustment system, the helmet is also suitable for long hairstyles such as ponytails, buns, or braids
Front glasses holder: a recessed area at the front of the helmet to secure glasses in a safe and aerodynamic position while riding
Acti Cage™: allows for larger ventilation openings thanks to foam-reinforced structure, while ensuring high stability
Reflective sticker: for better visibility in the dark
Zoom™ Spin adjustment system: a dial at the back of the head for individual helmet adjustment to head circumference
Sewn-in straps: for optimal aerodynamics, the straps are sewn in and therefore do not require a strap distributor—this ensures a snug fit and prevents them from shifting while riding
Floating padding: padding inside the helmet that clips into multiple attachment points, making it more flexible and providing better ventilation and greater comfort
Removable and washable padding: It can be removed and hand-washed or replaced as needed
Snap closure: For safe and convenient use, the straps are equipped with a classic snap closure (triangular connection) for opening and closing
In-Mold Process: A manufacturing process in which the inner shock-absorbing expanded polystyrene (EPS) material is directly injected into the outer polycarbonate (PC) shell, resulting in a durable and robust construction
