SPHERICAL TECHNOLOGY — Spherical technology consists of a ball-and-socket design, optimized by MIPS®, that helps redirect impact energy away from the brain by allowing the outer shell to rotate around the inner shell in the event of a collision. It also eliminates contact with hard plastic or sliding surfaces against the skin.
PROGRESSIVE LAYERING™ — Giro helmets featuring "Progressive Layering™" technology use two EPS foam liners of different densities to withstand high- and low-speed impacts, better dissipating the energy.
MIPS® SYSTEM FOR BRAIN PROTECTION — All Giro helmets are designed to absorb maximum energy while exceeding the strictest safety standards. The goal of Giro helmets equipped with MIPS is to reduce rotational forces. Giro believes that helmets equipped with this technology can reduce the rotational force that may be transferred to the rider’s brain during certain impacts.
INTERNAL CHANNELS FEATURING "WIND TUNNEL" TECHNOLOGY — Combined with large vents, the internal channels force air to circulate over the scalp, providing remarkable cooling power.
ROC LOC® 5 AIR FIT SYSTEM — This revolutionary fit system adds a new dimension to helmet performance by improving cooling, as well as comfort and stability. Thanks to a patented design that suspends the helmet slightly above the skull, the Roc Loc® 5 Air allows cool airflow to pass directly over your head, enhancing the performance of the vents and internal channels that draw heat away from the helmet. The fit and feel adjustments replicate the functionality of the Roc Loc 5, allowing you to easily customize the fit tension and fore-aft tilt of the helmet in seconds with just one hand.
