Beach cruisers: a unique design coupled with absolute comfort

The beach cruiser is a bike that reflects the North American style of the 1930s. At the time, the beach cruiser was an urban bike with rounded curves, robust, very comfortable, that had a particular aesthetic in a vintage style. The frame has oversized tubes and a double top tube. It's mono-speed with balloon tyres (thus wide) which give it a great stability but which also makes it a rather heavy bike.

Used extensively in the 1930s and 1940s and after the war by couriers and newspaper distributors, the beach cruiser ended up being used mostly for leisure. In the 1960s, it became the means of transport of holiday-makers and surfers, hence the name of beach cruiser.

Beach cruisers have found a renewed popularity since the 90s thanks to their different style and their ease of use in more modern and lighter versions.
