How to fit a Sram 11 speed cassette?
Fit a Sram 11 speed cassette is not difficult. Do not forget to deflate the rear shock on a full suspension bike to find the correct chain length.
1. Typical tools
Link pliers, Chain whip, cassette lockring tool, Chain rivet extractor, Grease, Adjustable spanner.
2. Grease
Grease freehub body.
3. Place the cassette
Place the cassette on the freehub body.
4. Fit the lockring
VFit the lockring using a lockring tool.
5. Tighten the cassette
Tighten the cassette with an adjustable spanner.
6. Install the chain
Install the chain on the largest size sprockets without threading it through the derailleur.
7. Add 2 links
Pull the chain tight, note the closest rivet where the 2 could be joined and add an additional 2 links.
8. Install the powerlink
Connect the chain with the Sram powerlink.
