No. Although inspired by the geometry of the Skyward X, the Skyflow does not have a carbon plate. It relies on supercritical foam and a curved profile for energy return, remaining more flexible and comfortable for daily use.
While they use the same type of foam (supercritical), the Skyflow is more cushioned, higher (40mm stack), and more protective. The Mach 6 is lighter, closer to the ground, and more focused on speed (Tempo).
It is a neutral shoe. However, thanks to its wide base and Active Foot Frame technology (where the foot is seated within the sole), it offers a very reassuring "inherent stability," suitable for mild pronators or when fatigue sets in.
The Skyflow maintains Hoka's classic 5 mm drop, promoting a natural stride and midfoot strike, while having a significant sole thickness (40 mm at the heel).
