The Choucas

range is the historic range of Blue Ice harnesses: designed in 2012, it has been improved over the years to reach this fourth version, which is much more popular with mountain guides.

Much lighter (142g in S size) and more compact than the classic mountaineering harnesses, this latest version is still comfortable with its wide waist belt. It is the ultimate alpine harness for mountaineering, ski touring and glacier trekking, and

its features and amenities make it the ideal harness with four large gear loops, two rock loops on the waist belt and two ice axe loops on the thigh loops. You can put it on with your feet on the ground, with skis or crampons, and easily adjust the fit at the waist, thanks to its new quick release buckle.
