Mavic SLR 45 Disc wheels, thanks to their lighter 45 mm rims and new UD² finish, these carbon wheels are the fastest, stiffest and lightest all-round road wheels equipped with disc brakes

These totally new carbon wheels are an ideal choice for road cyclists looking for speed and efficiency in all situations, including racing. The streamlined 45 mm rim cuts through the air, with minimal drag. It's also one of the lightest in its class. For this season, the outer carbon layer benefits from our new UD² design, which gives it a distinctive visual identity and further reduces the weight of the carbon layer: 15 g saved on each rim!

The combination of the new layering technique used to manufacture the rim and our exclusive Fore Carbon technology means that the upper deck is left intact and the rim is reinforced only at critical points. The result is a 40g lighter wheel. As the spokes are anchored without drilling the upper bridge, there's no need for a rim tape, which means additional weight savings (30 g), and fewer problems when fitting or repairing tubeless tires. With the new profile of the rim top bridge, mounting and demounting a tire has never been so easy. With the UST Tubeless system, no tubes, no friction. And greater air volume means smoother handling. The result: greater speed, with greatly reduced rolling resistance. And finally, our patented elliptical spokes save even more energy.

Our new Infinity hub platform optimizes spoke spoking. Carefully adjusted spoke tension optimizes power transfer. Our Instant Drive 360 freewheel body, combined with QRM Auto automatic bearing adjustment, guarantees fast engagement, high rigidity and extended durability. The wheels can be fitted with Shimano and SRAM XD-Road freewheel bodies, and are convertible to Campagnolo by means of an optional freewheel body. They are compatible with a 12 x 100 front axle and a 12 x 142 rear axle, and with quick release by means of the adapters supplied. For Center Lock brake discs only.
These wheels are designed, manufactured and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France, and are entirely handcrafted at our European facility.
