This versatile carbon road wheel is perfect for cyclists looking for the perfect balance between weight, aerodynamics and efficiency. New spokes and hubs give the Cosmic SL 40 lightness and responsiveness for hill climbing and acceleration.
The rim features a NACA profile 40 mm high and 26 mm wide, specially designed to seamlessly support all types of performance on flat and hilly terrain. Thanks to the new profile of the rim's upper deck, fitting tubeless or tube-type tires has never been so easy.
Tubeless UST means no tubes, so no friction, and a greater volume of air promises smoother handling. The result: increased speed with greatly reduced rolling resistance. Improved spokes mean that this wheelset is 80g lighter than its predecessor, the Cosmic Pro Carbon UST. Combined with our brand-new Infinity hub platform, which guarantees responsiveness in any situation, they are stiffer and more efficient.
The Cosmic SL 40 is designed specifically for rim brakes. The tried-and-tested iTgMax process includes a patented laser treatment of the brake band. This reduces stopping distances in both wet and dry conditions. The layered design and heat treatment of the process produce the strongest, most durable carbon rims ever designed for rim brakes.
