Description

Renowned Mavic technologies and design combined in a wheelset, with a breathtaking finish: this is how to create an asset for any Ksyrium S Disc road cyclist.

These aluminum wheels are an obvious choice for anyone who wants to easily replace their original wheels with a higher-performance model. The Ksyrium S Disc gives any bike a performance boost. It's an accessible gateway to Mavic quality, without taking shortcuts.

The Ksyrium S Disc weighs 40g less than the previous Ksyrium UST Disc, yet is wider, stronger and laterally stiffer. Fore technology enhances rigidity. The rim's upper bridge is not drilled, which optimizes its strength and rigidity, and eliminates the need for a rim tape: that's another 30g saved on each wheel. With the new profile of the rim's upper deck, mounting and demounting a tire has never been so easy; our UST Tubeless technology reduces rolling resistance and increases grip while limiting the risk of punctures. These rims are made in France, in our aluminum rim factory.

Our new Infinity hub platform optimizes stiffness and power transfer, thanks to carefully tuned spoke tension. The Instant Drive 360 freewheel body, combined with the automatic bearing adjustment system (QRM Auto), guarantees fast engagement and enhanced durability. The Ksyrium S is fast, and it shows. The matte paint on the hubs, the invisible welds and the black color of the spokes give the wheel a strong, unique visual identity. Designed specifically for disc brakes, the wheel is compatible with a 12 x 100 front axle and a 12 x 142 rear axle, and can be converted to a quick release using the adapters supplied. It can be fitted with Shimano and Sram XD-Road cassettes, and is convertible to Campagnolo by means of an optional freewheel body.
