Two years of data collection on new fabrics in collaboration with Dan Bigham (Bora - Red Bull) and Wattshop. Using these cutting-edge technologies to improve real-world performance.
The focus was on selecting fabrics for the shoulders, sleeves, torso, and sides. This last point is a new consideration at HUUB. The world’s fastest triathlon suit just got even faster!
The fabrics were chosen based on:
- aerodynamics
- hydrodynamics
- thermoregulation
- comfort
With water temperatures becoming increasingly variable, Huub understands the need to create a triathlon suit that’s fast in the water (for swimming without a wetsuit), which must therefore pair perfectly with a swimskin. The tri-suit must also be fast on land—a difficult challenge to solve, as the fabric properties required in the water and on land are sometimes contradictory. The tri-suit must be comfortable over long distances and help the body withstand high temperatures. All these factors were taken into account in the Sub7 V2 wetsuit.
