What to do if you are in between bike sizes?
If you are on the edge of two different bike sizes, don't worry, you'll probably be ok on either size (rather than thinking that one size will be awful and the other will fit). Indeed, bikes are adjustable: the seatpost can slide up and down, the saddle can move backwards and forwards and you can even switch out parts like the stem for different sized ones to help the bike fit better.
Finding out whether or not you should pick a bigger or a smaller frame is sometimes as simple as personal preference, but there are a few simple ways to work out which might suit best:
- If you’re flexible, you might prefer a shorter head tube, so the smaller size might work out better for you. You can use a longer stem to make the reach more comfortable.
- On a bigger bike, the reach to the handlebars will be longer. This means that if you have proportionally longer arms, you might be more comfortable on a bigger frame.

Kaius is a high-end carbon gravel bike designed to be your elite racing companion for all terrains. Thanks to its innovative carbon weave and gravel-specific geometry, it embodies the ideal balance of stiffness, lightness and flexibility for optimum grip on soft ground, a stable front end and real climbing ability. Harnessing the precision and performance of BMC's renowned road-leading technologies, the Kaius is built for gravel, with its Kaius fork, conventional BMC handlebars and ICS2 stem, TCC Race Compliance, 1x and 2x drivetrain compatibility, and 44mm tire clearance.
As a racing bike, the Kaius can't just be stiff and comfortable: it also has to be light. With a frame weighing just 910 g, a fork weighing 400 g, a seatpost weighing 160 g and a cockpit weighing just 315 g, you'll peak at the top of the mountains on a featherweight of 1.785 kg. Thanks to the Aerocore design, the Kaius presents itself at its most integrated. This cutting-edge solution integrates the bottle cages with the frame to optimize aerodynamic performance.
