His first bike, we remember it all his life. So here are some keys to help you choose the model that is best for your child. For the little ones (less than 95cm), we always recommend opting for a balance bike.

For older children (over 110cm), we recommend a pedal bike. On the other hand, for those who measure between 95cm and 110cm, two options are available to you: the balance bike or the pedal bike. The balance bike allows the child to learn about balance on two wheels. It clearly gives the child confidence, he feels safe and progresses at his own pace. The pedal bike has other advantages. It gives the child the impression of doing 'like the grown-ups'. It also allows for longer walks once the child has taken its marks. And stabilizers (also called small wheels) are a safe way to learn. To view our different models of balance bikes, go to the 12 '' and 14 '' balance bikes category. If you're heading for a pedal bike instead, you've come to the right place. Two wheel sizes are available: 14 inches (for a child measuring between 95cm and 110cm) or 16 inches (between 105cm and 120cm). All our small pedal bikes have been designed to adapt to the morphology and level of these young children. The top tube of the frame has been lowered as far as possible to make it easier to step over. They are all equipped with disc brakes, to stop in all circumstances. And also to be able to know your first sensations downhill. For the little ones, a protection around the chain prevents fingers or objects from getting stuck in it.

As for the components, they have all been carefully selected according to three criteria: 1) they must be adapted to the morphology of a child of this size and weight. The handles, for example, have an external diameter of 22mm so that the child can hold the handlebars well. 2) No concession on strength. Impossible to ask our blond heads to take care of their bikes. We therefore use as few plastic parts as possible, unlike bicycles sold in supermarkets. We like to think that our bikes can be used by little brother or sister, and that they can be resold on the second-hand market, even after several years of use. 3) They must allow MTB use, so that the child can experience his first sensations on land in complete safety. For example, we chose the studded tires that most closely match those we use on our adult mountain bikes. The gain in comfort and grip is undeniable. It will prevent some scratches on the elbows and knees. So that the small champions can identify with the big champions, we modeled the decorations of our RAMONES on our two DH teams. Here, the colors are those of Team 100%, embodied by Hugo Frixtalon and Thomas Estaque, as brilliant by their performances as by their always perfect style.
