Ultra-light down jacket for alpine conditions

As a mid-layer or outer layer, this lightweight down jacket keeps you warm in demanding mountain conditions. Its incredible warmth-to-weight ratio is achieved thanks to an ultra-light, tough recycled nylon outer fabric with a weather-resistant coating. Added to this, its hydrophobic 850 cuin down filling (responsibly produced) insulates even in wet conditions. A well-placed synthetic filling provides warmth in particularly hard-pressed areas. Thanks to the weight and minimalist size of the Taiss IN hooded jacket, you'll take it hiking without hesitation.

TECHNOLOGIES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Pertex® Quantum® Pro: Pertex® Quantum Pro uses an ultra-fine water-repellent treatment that ensures enhanced weather protection in extreme conditions.
  • DRY DOWN: High-performance down insulation with water-based PFC-free treatment, Nikwax hydrophobic down retains its loft and insulating properties even after seven days of constant exposure to water, for optimal warmth for longer.
  • Eco-responsible down: This product contains down and feathers from properly treated animals. The force-feeding and collection of down and feathers from live birds (raw plumage) is strictly forbidden.
  • PFC-free DWR: Perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) are often used for waterproofing, but are virtually non-biodegradable. Mammut is committed to replacing non-biodegradable textile treatments with more sustainable, high-performance solutions.
  • Fair Wear: Fair Wear works to ensure fair and safe working conditions in all its textile factories. This non-profit organization works with factories, unions, NGOs and governments to protect workers' rights.
  • Recycled: This product contains recycled materials offering uncompromising performance and functionality. Choosing recycled materials reduces the use of virgin materials and contributes to a more circular economy.
