DESCRIPTION:
With 436g of CODEX®-approved DOWN 900 fill power European goose down and an extremely light, breathable 10-denier PLASMA fabric, Firelite offers exceptional loft and warmth at minimal weight. A flurocarbon-free DWR treatment adds a level of protection against slush and condensation.
Throughout the bag, angled baffles optimally balance thermal efficiency with weight and size, while the proven EXL® elastic seam system inside the bag minimizes lost air space, reduces drafts and moves the fabric away from the down lining, allowing it to expand efficiently for maximum warmth. In the hood and collar, a complex system of seven deflectors concentrates the down for optimum long-term warmth and protection. At the foot of the bag, an anatomically designed zone with a system of four deflectors allows the down to fully inflate, concentrating warmth around your feet.
The Firelite is equipped with a high-quality zipper for increased durability and longevity, compared to the lightweight zippers often found in comparable bags. This is combined with a Gemini™ deflector along the entire length of the entry zipper to significantly reduce heat loss in this usually vulnerable area. Finally, the discreet Lode Lock™ magnetic closure and collar drawstrings are easy to use in the dark or in difficult conditions.
All Extreme Light bags have a tapered alpine cut that optimally balances weight and warmth, but it's important to note that they can always accommodate additional down layers and boots if required.
