The Ascent sleeping bag is the most versatile of the Sea To Summit sleeping bag range, suitable for a multitude of climates, conditions and adventures.
From long-distance hiking to weekend getaways, the ultra-light 750+ fill power provides extra warmth in cooler climates, while the Free Flow zipper system allows for increased airflow and ventilation in warmer climates. Putting comfort and adaptability first, the Ascent sleeping bag is a premium option for versatile adventures

TECHNICALDETAILS

ULTRA-DRY 750+ LOFT DOWN: The second-highest-performing down used in all Sea to Summit sleeping bags. The 750+ loft indicates that one ounce (30g) of down will re-expand to over 750 cubic inches when compressed. A higher loft means less down can be used to achieve the same temperature, which is important for high-performance sleeping bags. Loft and down quality/composition are independently tested by the International Down and Feather Laboratory (IDFL) - a copy of the certification is supplied with every Sea to Summit sleeping bag. Down is responsibly sourced, RDS-certified and treated with the environmentally-friendly Ultra-Dry Down treatment.
QUILTLOCK SYSTEM: The QuiltLock system uses the snap locks at the shoulder and foot ends of Sea to Summit sleeping bags, as well as the comforter footbox and comforter straps to secure a comforter to the sleeping bag. This adds thermal performance and versatility to your sleeping system: your integrated comforter now works for ultralight summer adventures and turns your three-season bag into a four-season sleeping system.
C0 DWR: Most of our products have already been upgraded to C0 non-PFC water-repellent finishes. Our goal is to use 100% PFC-free C0 water-repellent finishes by 2025.
RESPONSIBLE DOWN STANDARD (RDS): All the down used in our sleeping bags and comforters is independently certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). The RDS standard certifies down against animal welfare requirements and tracks it from source to final product. The purchase of RDS-certified products demonstrates the demand for better animal welfare practices in the down and feather supply chain. Sea to Summit is RDS certified.

FEATURES

INSULATION: 750+ RDS-certified goose down, Ultra Dry Down treated for improved water resistance in wet weather.
FABRIC: 20 denier recycled nylon shell and lining. Hood and foot compartment in waterproof, breathable 10 denier Nylon.
CUT: Casual mummy cut: a more relaxed but tapered mummy cut with high thermal performance.
ZIPPERING: Free Flow zipper system: full-length #5 main zipper with zipper guard and two sliders. Secondary zipper - 1/2 length #5 with zipper guard and two sliders. Foot compartment zipper - #5 with two sliders.
WALL CONSTRUCTION: Vertical walls on chest, horizontal walls on bottom half and base, box-like wall construction throughout.
COLLAR: Fitted front draft collar: scalloped at neck and oversized at shoulders.
Hood: Generous fitted hood with two soft-touch adjustments. Fits a regular-size Sea to Summit pillow.
ANTI-DRAFT TUBE: Unique down-filled anti-draft tube along the top of all zippers.
BAG CONNECTION: Can be combined with Sea to Summit women's bags.
PILLOW INTEGRATION: Regular-size Sea to Summit pillow inserts into hood.
