DESCRIPTION:
The Dolomites have so many climbing classics that it's sometimes hard to know where to start: Tre Cime, Marmolada, Cinque Torri, Tours Vajolet, Tofana di Rozes....
Salewa makes the tight-fitting upper of the Wildfire 2 shoes from a sturdy, recycled mesh that they reinforce with a network of Kevlar cables that wrap around the foot for added flexibility, fit, torsional stability and heel support. Plus, the Wildfire 2s switch quickly and easily from hiking to climbing mode with the SALEWA® Switchfit adjustment system. The result: improved edge grip and grip and overall safety on technical terrain.
In addition,the Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) midsole offers a customizable fit for close-to-the-foot or wider comfort, and
the Wildfire GTX features a GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining for waterproof and breathable protection in the elements. The Pomoca Speed MTN outsole has a climbing toe zone and aggressive lugging for traction on mud and loose terrain, while its S-Path technology ensures a more natural roll. And the grippy POMOCA rubber provides good friction in both dry and wet conditions.

- Kevlar® Cable Wrap Net
- Switchfit Technology: Quickly switch from hiking to climbing mode. By attaching the extra eyelet, the heel is pulled down a bit more and the foot is pushed forward towards the toe. This hugs the toes more like climbing shoes, to improve the ability to stand on small stances with more precision.
