The MTN Trainer Lite Mid is a comfortable and supportive 3-season mid-high hiking shoe, giving good results on rocky and technical terrain. Carrying more weight means expending more energy. We keep the weight to a minimum here, using a lightweight yet highly wear-resistant fabric upper with suede inserts. The comfort-enhancing, waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® lining also makes it ideal for 3-season alpine use, from high activity levels in summer to persistent rain, mud or snow.
Fit is what differentiates one hiking boot from another. The mid-top over last hiking shoe design offers enough room for your toes to feel comfortable, while guaranteeing sufficiently flexible comfort and support all day long. At the heart of the shoe, the EVA midsole provides good shock absorption and rebound. For added stability and protection, it features a flexible ankle cuff, heel stabilizer and rubber toe cap. Underfoot, the outsole guarantees reliable grip thanks to the Pomoca compound and deep lug and groove pattern, as well as versatility to cope with a wide range of terrain, from mud and grass to rock, ice and snow.
Mountaineering laces, which extend to the toes, allow customization for greater precision on technical terrain or more casual use. Our women's MTN Trainer Lite Mid is a relatively lightweight 3-season mid-high alpine boot, providing the ideal solution for backpackers who cover long distances with a pack and want to limit weight on their feet, but aren't prepared to compromise water resistance and comfort
