Description

The hub features the Degrees of Freedom anti-kickback system, simplified to the utmost. Easy to adjust, low-maintenance, and adding no extra weight, the new DF technology provides additional degrees of freedom to fine-tune your bike’s handling. Allowing the freewheel some freedom of movement before engagement reduces the chain’s influence on the rear suspension. This allows the suspension to operate freely. The system lets you find the right setting for different types of terrain or bikes without using any tools. And if your goal is to optimize your bike’s kinematics, you have an extra degree of freedom.

Designed for the most demanding enduro trails and rough terrain, the DT Swiss EX 1700 CLASSIC 29 rear wheel combines an ultra-durable aluminum rim with an internal width of 30 mm and the new Ratchet DEG freewheel system (72 teeth). Designed to offer an extremely low engagement angle of 5°, it guarantees instant pedal response during technical sprints and obstacle clearance. ASTM 5-certified for extreme riding, it sets the ultimate standard for strength, precision, and durability.
