Whether mountain biking, skiing or snowboarding, young riders can feel as protected as their heroes with the PROTECTOR vest. With its child-specific cut and fit, this protective vest is a real bargain in terms of comfort and functionality. The all-new, highly flexible LITESHIELD FLEX back protector offers excellent shock absorption (EN1621-2, level 1) and moves with the body for a lightweight feel. The functional S.LEISURE™ polyester fabric, bluesign® certified, is just as snug and has just the right amount of stretch, is breathable and quick-drying. And best of all: it's much more environmentally friendly than similar elastane fabrics. Why is that? Because it uses less water and energy during the production process, and because its elasticity is achieved mechanically rather than through the use of elastane, which means that the fabric, and therefore the vest, can be recycled. Only the protector (also recyclable, but in TPE) and the AIRO FLEX hip belt with its hypalon belt guide (not yet recyclable) need to be removed. S.Café® technology, also eco-friendly, helps neutralize odors. And as soon as you get home, the loose-fitting vest can go straight into the washing machine.
TECHNNOLOGIES
- LITESHIELD FLEX: Evoc's latest protective technology offers excellent shock absorption and at the same time a new level of flexibility and freedom of movement. The combination of a highly flexible thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compound and the geometry of plus and circular elements forms the basis for the superior ergo-dynamic flexibility of the LITESHIELD FLEX protector.
- S.LEISURE: Fast-drying, highly breathable and flexible polyester functional fabric. Thanks to its water- and energy-saving production process, its ecological footprint is significantly lower than that of similar textiles. What's more, this bluesign®-certified fabric is recyclable.
- S.CAFÉ TECHNOLOGY: The use of S.Café® technology on fabrics helps neutralize unpleasant odors. Coffee grounds have numerous microscopic pores that absorb odours sustainably and without chemicals. To achieve this, an extract is obtained from used coffee grounds from local cafés, using a patented process that exploits precisely this natural odor-absorbing capacity and can then be used in textiles.
