The Scorpion ? XC R is the perfect rear tire when paired with a Scorpion ? XC M up front. The Scorpion ? XC R tread pattern was developed for use on the same wide range of terrains as the Scorpion ? XC M. The specific center tread design, derived from Pirelli's experience in motocross world, increases grip and stability both when braking and accelerating and gives the Scorpion ? XC R unique levels of confidence and reliability on mixed terrain.

The SmartGRIP Compound is a blend developed on the experience of motorsport championships, the choice of monomix rubber provides high grip in dry and wet conditions consistently, even when the studs start to wear out. ProWall is sidewall reinforcement technology, for puncture protection and low pressure handling. An additional layer of nylon applied to the sides of the carcass for additional protection and greater stability in turns.
