226ERS Bio Energy Gel is designed to meet the energy demands of sport by releasing sustained energy. They contain mineral salts, mainly sodium. Sodium is eliminated through sweat. A significant drop in sodium can lead to muscle cramps, weakness and, in extreme cases, hyponatremia. Its presence in the body increases the rate of water absorption, delays fatigue and reduces urine production, thereby increasing fluid levels. It also provides potassium. Potassium is lost during each muscular contraction. Potassium is important for nerve impulse transmission.
