They love it!
The bar replaces breakfast and is consumed 1h30 before an endurance effort, whether it is a race, a trail, a bike ride, etc. If your training or competition takes place in the middle of the afternoon, you are free to consume it as a snack.
To meet the needs of sportsmen and women, the recipe was developed with a nutritionist. Result: 2 bars contain everything you need to avoid fatigue during an endurance effort. Bonus: we wanted to combine efficiency and naturalness. In our bar, few ingredients, for maximum performance.
During an endurance effort, digestion matters, especially for comfort. The texture of our bar is dense and it facilitates digestion. We explain why. When we chew, we secrete saliva. It allows the compaction of food, it also contains enzymes that help digest. In our recipe, we also added freeze-dried pineapple which also contains enzymes.
Our breakfast bar is made in Spain. Concerning the raw materials, we have selected the supplies which appeared to us to be the most logical, and sustainable, according to the places of production.
- Honey, gluten-free rolled oats and rice syrup for energy.
- Pea proteins for protein intake
- Cocoa and chocolate chips for taste.
- Freeze-dried pineapple to aid digestion.
- Magnesium and vitamins B6 and B12 to reduce fatigue.
- Vitamin C is an antioxidant, and vitamin B1 to allow normal energy metabolism.
- sea salt for taste
Let's face it: the morning of a race, eating is sometimes more of a necessity than a real pleasure (thanks to the stress!). Well, know that the breakfast bar, if it is not as flexible as a fruit jelly, is however easily chewed. The pea protein (which crunches slightly under your teeth) not only whets your appetite, but also triggers the action of chewing, which in turn activates your digestive enzymes and the digestion process that accompanies it.
We are not going to hide it from you: the tests were numerous... But it takes that to reach perfection, doesn't it? ;)
Our numerous technical constraints also explain the format of the breakfast bar: 40 g rather than 80 g, therefore 2 bars for a complete breakfast.
In short, you guessed it, this bar is "the challenge bar", as Juliette, product engineer, describes it so well. A challenge taken up with flying colors? That's up to you to tell us!
