A NEW DIMENSION IN HEAD PROTECTION

Extensive research has established that helmets equipped with the MIPS® system reduce the risk of shock transferred to the brain during an angular impact. Below are three images showing the pressure levels experienced in the brain in the event of an angular impact. They show the results of tests without a helmet, with a helmet not equipped with the MIPS system, and with a helmet equipped with the MIPS.® system. All three are the result of one and the same speed and one and the same angle of impact, but each has a very different outcome: the more red there is, the more rotational violence transmitted to the brain.
