The Last: From the world's capital of performance footwear, a custom handcrafted last that precisely follows the contours of the feet. Created over many seasons and many espressos, the latest Unique shoe benefits from the unique intersection of cycling and performance shoe talent in the Italian Dolomites. Developed with the sartorial expertise of Q36.5 and guided by the makers of world-class shoe models on their doorstep, the latest Unique is tuned to follow the dynamics of the foot, maximizing power output while minimizing fatigue.
The Sole: Created in partnership with chamois insert experts Elastic Interface®, Unique shoes feature an innovative high-density foam footbed that absorbs micro-vibrations and enhances comfort on the longest rides.
The Upper: A one-piece upper, created from a single piece of 1mm-thick microfiber. And no tongue. Unlike the commonly used PU, the Unique upper conforms to the shape of your foot with a sock-like cut to deliver exceptional breathability, with support zones designed along the arch. And because the one-piece upper wraps around your foot, there's no need for a tongue, so all you'll feel is a more natural, secure fit from heel to toe.
BOA® Tightening Solution. A quick, effortless and precise adjustment system that offers two-way micro-adjustment. Lightweight and unobtrusive, Unique Shoes deploy two BOA® Li2 dials for gentle, even pressure distribution in the instep and forefoot areas for comfort on closure. With the innovative lightweight upper, the BOA® textile lace flows optimally over the shoe to effectively prevent pressure points.
Power Wrap support. An intelligent support system that wraps the instep to create a comfortable, stable fit, maximizing power and comfort throughout the pedal stroke. Lining the instep, a thermoplastic Power Wrap reinforces the microfiber upper to help absorb vibrations and maximize foot stability on and off the bike. Invisible yet comfortingly reassuring, Power Wrap helps ensure that every pedal stroke or step is as safe as the last.
The Sole. Aerospace-grade carbon fiber and intelligent, zone-mapped flexibility for breathtaking performance and unmatched comfort. The Unique shoe's outsole has been designed with a low stack height for a closer connection to the pedal and offers optimized stiffness for power transmission without loss in the heat of competition. A zone-mapped design at the rear of the shoe generates positive flexibility to create a rebound effect that reduces tendon pressure and muscle overload and increases blood flow with each pedal stroke.
